Summer 2022

With our new fall interns settling in for the season, we wanted to share a few parting words from our summer interns. Hayden Wellbeloved, Zach Lambert, and Nghia Huynh, we appreciate your time with us and wish you all the best.

Message from Hayden:

“When starting this internship I set out to further cultivate my professional skills while also gaining experience working on sport-related work in data, sponsorship, and marketing. I would say I got to hit all those boxes and some. Still looking to pinpoint what type of work I wish to do in the sports arena, I am grateful for this opportunity as I had the chance to wear many hats, working with all departments of the team, sitting in on meetings with teams, creating sponsored campaigns, analyzing data on the backend, and more. I enjoyed getting to know everyone on the team, working with them on various projects, and gaining valuable insight into what it takes to be successful in the industry.

Throughout my three months at FanCompass, it seemed like we were acquiring new clients almost every week. I enjoyed utilizing my creative side and building out platforms for new teams across the sports industry ranging from college and MLB teams to LIV Golf to even professional bull riding!

Digital Marketing and activations are becoming increasingly necessary to engage with fans no matter the type of event. With the top of the line product and all-around exceptional team members at FanCompass, it has been no surprise to see this substantial growth unfold, albeit in such a short period of time. I am looking forward to seeing how FanCompass continues to evolve and am very grateful for the opportunity to spend the past three months with the team!”

Message from Zach:

“My internship over the summer with FanCompass was such an amazing experience. I want to thank all the team members for being so welcoming and helpful to me throughout my time here.

The culture at FanCompass is incredible and helped me feel like a part of the team the first day my internship started. I also want to give a special shoutout to Angie Johnston who taught me so much about marketing and sales and for being a great mentor over the summer. I am so thankful for all the opportunities that FanCompass gave me and for all the things I was able to learn.

As I now head back to school to start my Junior year and finish up my degree, I have a better understanding of my career path in the sport and entertainment business. I would absolutely recommend an internship with FanCompass to anyone who is interested in working in the sport and entertainment industry.”

Message from Nghia:

“I had an amazing experience this past summer working as a Sponsorships & Analytics Intern for FanCompass. One of the interview questions I was asked was about my career goals and how FanCompass could help me reach those goals. Spoiler alert! FanCompass not only helped me reach those goals but also provided a fun journey.

My projects varied from helping teams to launching fan engagement campaigns to tracking and analyzing sponsor campaigns across the platform. I worked with two other members on my intern team, FanCompass employees, and the other organization’s representatives. I treasured the opportunity to participate in as many projects as possible to maximize my learning potential.

The weekend before my final week of the internship I was in an accident. Though I did sustain some minor injuries, I was still able to complete all of my projects and successfully finish out the program. Through the experience, I realized how passionate I am about making people’s lives better through sports. Thank you FanCompass for giving me the internship opportunity. Thank you everyone so much for a memorable summer!”
